Whether your a building a house or renovating, window treatment decisions need some careful consideration. It’s not like duvets, changing curtains frequently is really not on the cards! However all rooms need a hero, so there is always a splash of something special that reflects your personailty.
Emerging Trends
Creating flexibilty in spaces has been an emerging trend in the house market and now this is true for drapery.
An easy and effective way is to use a double track with a sheer on one rail and tonal coloured blackout on the other. During the day the sheer creates diffused light where needed and a soft atmosphere. Then in the evening pulling the back track enables the room to become formalised with luxurious ambience and ease.
Versatility and creative thinking is key to maximise your space.
Continuing Favourites
It’s easy to see why natural tones are popular….. they just work!
Top sellers in the market are whites, creams, greens, pale blues and the ever popular greys. It’s great to see these as a full feature or combo of colours.
The main consideration is how your drapes work with other elements in the room, throughout the house and what kind of atmosphere are you hoping to create. Accents with cushions and soft furnishings is a must.
For the love of linens…
What’s all the fuss with linens? This is something I wondered too but actually linen is pretty cool – pardon the pun! Linen fibre, is basically a hollow tube so it can absorb moisture when your room is damp and release moisture when its hot – breathing! This keeps you dryer in winter and cooler in summer. The linen fibre tube also makes linen a super strong and it’s moth resistant! Available On a Roll products are curtains, cushions, throws and towels.
